Foster ‘Fully Committed To Auburn,’ Still Looking Elsewhere

Linebacker Reuben Foster from Auburn (Ala.) High School is still committed to Auburn.

But that isn’t keeping Foster from considering other schools. He told 247Sports he plans to take all five official visits before he signs with a school.

Foster said he plans to visit Georgia, Miami, Southern California and Washington. The fifth visit is to be determined.

Georgia appears to be making the strongest push for Foster, who has heard more often from schools because of Auburn’s on-field struggles. Questions about coach Gene Chizik and his staff could move Foster to reopen his recruitment.

“I am hearing a lot from Georgia,” Foster told 247Sports. “I am talking about a lot. They were at my game on Friday. They hit me up on Facebook already today.”

Foster, who originally committed to Alabama, had considered choosing Georgia before he gave his pledge to Auburn in July. He has a close friendship with Georgia commit Tray Matthews, who’s continued to pitch the Bulldogs to Foster.

“I talk to Tray a lot,” Foster said. “He is still recruiting me there, and I am trying to get him there. I am just trying to see what this coaching staff is looking like. We are going to do what is best, what works out.”

Still, Foster said he’s “fully committed to Auburn” and is working to help the Tigers land more prospects for the class of 2013.

“I tell them we need some leaders on the field,” Foster said. “If a guy is not a leader in high school he is not going to be a leader in college. We get the right players, we can take over.”
